Established in 1997, The Marietta Brewing Company is located in the heart of historic downtown Marietta. MBC is known for serving great food, and great craft beer! Chef Jason Morgan and Brew Master Chris Hopkins use the freshest and finest ingredients with creative and innovative cooking and brewing styles that deliver the most drinkable beer and the greatest food that you’ll find under the same roof! Some History
Marietta Brewing Company was a pre-prohibition brewery and was Marietta’s longest-lasting brewing establishment. The original brewery was located at 613 2nd Street, beside the Campus Martius Museum. It was built in 1866 and operated as a brewery until 1919 when Prohibition arrived. Originally named the Union Brewery, it was reincorporated in 1903 as The Marietta Brewing Company. An attempt was made in 1933 to revive the brewery after Repeal with the name American Brewery Co., but no beer was actually produced. Today a medical office building occupies the space where the brewery once stood.
Present Day
The Marietta Brewing Company is a unique brewpub. We showcase our brew house! Our copper plated brew kettles act as our store front display, and you have to walk through the brew house to get to our restaurant! Once inside, you get a chance to look at our two story brew house. On brew day, you can come have lunch and have the opportunity to watch Brew Master Chris Hopkins hard at work!
MBC is also known as one of the areas greatest live music venues. We host live entertainment every week. Every weekend live bands perform from the brewery stage starting at 10pm, often with no cover charge at the door!
With the vision of brewing great tasting beer, serving great tasting food, and delivering unbeatable service, our goal at MBC is to make sure our guests want to keep coming back for more!
Civilization came to early man when beer was first brewed by accident. Man appreciated this quaff, so much so that he no longer roamed. Instead man held forth in groups to make and taste this golden brew. As civilization became refined, good food was also shared by all.
